Passionate about working with:
I am deeply passionate about supporting a diverse range of clients who are navigating the complexities of depression, anxiety, and trauma. I help couples with relationship difficulties and challenges related to attachment issues. I’m dedicated to helping clients with adjustment issues related to immigration, post-partum challenges, and addressing the emotional distress related to separation, divorce, and loss. Helping clients on parent-child relationships, parenting issues, and addressing behavioral challenges in children and adolescents, lies at the core of my practice.
Therapist style:
My therapeutic style is integrative and eclectic. From my perspective, each individual’s, couple’s, or family’s journey is unique, shaped by their valid experiences, relationships, and life circumstances. My aim is to collaborate with my clients to help them navigate their own paths. I prioritize creating a therapeutic space that is safe, non-judgmental, and empowering. A space where clients can share their stories and challenges to gain a deeper insight into their experiences. My hope is that through our work together, you will be empowered to cultivate self- agency, feel more in control, and pursue the relationships and life experiences you deserve.
Treatment modalities:
I believe that a one-size-fits-all approach does not capture the depth and breadth of human experience. Therefore, I integrate a diverse range of evidence-based approaches to meet each client's unique needs and preferences. These include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Narrative Therapy. By integrating these approaches, I can address the unique needs of each client providing a therapeutic experience that equips them for life’s challenges.
Education and work qualifications:
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), and I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and children, especially those navigating trauma and difficult childhood experiences. I earned my Master’s Degree (MS) in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. I am actively engaged in research on interpersonal relationships and mental health issues in immigrant population at Alliant International University, where I'm pursuing a Doctor of Psychology Degree in Couple and Family Therapy.
Fun fact:
I’m a nature enthusiast. I like hiking up trails and soaking in the beauty of landscapes. I have climbed Mount Washington in New Hampshire (the highest peak in the Northeastern U.S. at 6,288 ft) and I look forward to my next climbing adventure.
